1. Who we are
The Auto Advocate LLC ("we," "us") operates autoadvocacy.net and provides independent automotive consulting and buyer advocacy services. This policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
2. Information we collect
Information you provide: your name, email address, phone number, and any details you share about your vehicle purchase (vehicle of interest, trade-in, financing situation, deal documents) when you book a consultation, submit the contact form, or work with us.
Information collected automatically: standard website analytics such as pages visited, device type and general location, collected via [analytics provider, e.g. Google Analytics].
Scheduling and payments: consultations are booked through Microsoft Bookings and paid through Stripe. Those services have their own privacy policies; we do not store your full payment card details.
3. How we use your information
We use your information to schedule and deliver consultations, review your deal documents, communicate with you about your engagement, send appointment reminders, respond to inquiries, and improve our services. If you opt in, we may send occasional tips or updates by email; you can unsubscribe at any time.
4. How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with: (a) service providers who help us operate (scheduling, payments, email, analytics); (b) referral partners listed on our Resources page, and only when you ask us to connect you; and (c) authorities when required by law. Deal documents you share with us are treated as confidential and are not shared without your permission.
5. Data retention
We store personal information electronically for a maximum of 24 months. If you email us asking us to turn that information over to you or to remove it, we will do so. Send that request to legal@autoadvocacy.net.
6. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal information, and to opt out of marketing. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at legal@autoadvocacy.net. We respond within the timeframe required by applicable law.
